About us
Biomass pellets made right where the rice husk is.
M K Bioenergy is a registered partnership firm from a Jharsuguda business family. We are building a rice-husk pellet plant at Sarasmal, Jharsuguda, to turn the agricultural residue of Western Odisha’s rice belt into renewable fuel.
Our plant sits next to an operating rice mill, so our core feedstock — rice husk — is available on-site. We add husk and straw bought from rice mills across the region, press it into dense 8 mm pellets, and supply it loose by truck to power plants, industrial boilers and traders.
Commercial production is targeted for November 2026. We are taking supply enquiries for 2026–27 now.

How it’s made
How our biomass pellets are made
One straight line from husk to truck, on a twin ring-die pellet line rated at 2–2.5 tonnes an hour.

Receive & weigh
Husk comes in from the rice mill next door and by truck, and is weighed on receipt.
- 02
Clean
Pre-cleaning takes out sand, stones and other impurities.
- 03
Condition
A bunker and mixer prepare an even feed for the presses.
- 04
Press
Twin ring-die presses form dense 8 mm pellets.
- 05
Cool & screen
Pellets are cooled and screened; fines go back to the press and cyclones collect dust.
- 06
Dispatch
Finished pellets leave the plant loose, by truck.
